Thursday, May 29, 2008 the Center City Republican Club will meet at Shoney’s on Western Avenue at 6:30 p.m. Tentatively, the speaker will be State Representative Bill Dunn. Contact Roberta Potter for more information at 558-7778.

Saturday May 31, 2008 We have scheduled the Knox County Republican Gathering in the Park fundraiser at Fountain City Park, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.. We will invite our Republican candidates to meet and greet the public. We will have a voter registration table set up. Our primary goal is to raise money for the county party. To do this we will sell hamburgers, hot dogs, potato salad, baked beans, soft drinks and slices of cake. We are requesting that each Republican club provide at least one cake, a large container of potato salad and at least one item for our silent auction. We also need volunteers to help with the set up and clean up. We will start the set up at 8 a.m.

Don’t forget to bring your lawn chairs.

Monday June 2, 2008 the Fountain City Club meetings will be at the Church of the Good Shepherd on Jacksboro Pike. Bill Dunn is the speaker. The doors will open at 6:30 and the meeting will begin at 7:00p.m. Kim Isenberg is the President.

Monday, June 2, 2008 John McCain returns to Tennessee! John McCain will host a Town Hall meeting on Monday June 2nd at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville. 116 Fifth Avenue North. The doors will open at 1:00 p.m. To RSVP for the event, please email tnvolunteer@johnmccain.com. No confirmation nor reply from campaign staff is needed to attend the event.

Co.-Hosts are: Wayne & Jeanne Sellers, Butch & Sandy Eddins, Don & Margie Cramer, and Jim A. McEvers With Special guest: Knox County Commissioner, Dr. Richard Briggs

Friday April 4, 2008 Knox County Lincoln Day Dinner at Rothchild’s Catering, 8807 Kingston Pike. Our speaker this year will be Minority Republican Whip Congressman Roy Blunt of Missouri. Dinner starts at 6:00pm and the program starts at 7:00pm. Tickets are $30 and may be purchased from the Knox County Republican Office Holders or at the Knox GOP Office at 2606 Greenway Drive.
